3 Benefits to Gain from Sharing “Real Life” Experiences
Can writing about their bad experiences really help people heal?
When new writers experience writers block about what topics to focus on, sometimes they shy away from sharing anything in their stories, they feel might be too personal.
This is understandable, because not everyone feels comfortable enough to peel back the layers of their life, especially online.
In my experience as a highly prolific writer, I’ve shared a large number of these type of stories. What I discovered was that writing and sharing details about my own hard knocks life, has actually helped me be able to heal.
I’ve written and stated over and over again, how healing it is, finding a way to purge myself of harmful memories and experience a release through my writing.
This always happens when I keep things real, and honestly express the truth as I see and know it to be, regardless of where any fault might lie.
The genuine, true life stories I share here are not written with any kind of malicious intent.
I’m not seeking to hurt, embarrass, or call anyone out — even though I seldom use real names anyway — nor are my writings merely a way for me to vent.
