All good points, keeping in mind NONE of us are perfect and ALL of us are capable of mistakes. You're right about not knowing how to write a private note, because sometimes that's the issue. It was for me. I once pointed out a name that was misspelled, but I didn't bring attention to my correction. I kind of hid it in the comment, subtll, but in a way that the writer could catch it. The reason I felt it was important so she could correct it, but the whole point of the story was how the writer loved a particular artist - yet they spelled the artist's name wrong. I'd want someone to tell me, even if it happened to be in a public forum, but obviously, there's no need to be rude or do it in a hurtful way :-)
