Anything But Dull: A Mermaid Sighting
Short Fiction | Sea Story | Part 3
Hats off to this year’s National Novel Writing Month participants. I not only commend you, but in recognition of the event, I’m continuing with my tribute to the occasion, by continuing to share this short story for fantasy lovers.
My 2022 summer release, was this small collection of sea stories, devoted to the theme of mermaids. The short story collection I published was titled: “Tails of the Mermaids”.

Anything But Dull: A Mermaid Sighting
Not long after Justin and J.P. made their descent into the ocean, Isaac and Marie were doing just the opposite. The plane was busy climbing high into the sky and Isaac began circling over the ocean, allowing Marie to begin taking some fascinating shots from the air.
The only camera she took on the plane that morning was her Nikkor 300 mm; the one she normally used for actions shots.
She didn’t really expect to see much, if any, action on the water that day, but she brought the Nikkor anyway because it allowed her more freedom and flexibility. Isaac was so used to seeing her loaded down with gear, that he had joked about how light she was traveling.
