Anything But Dull: A Mermaid Sighting
Short Fiction | Sea Story | Part 2
My tribute and recognition of this year’s National Novel Writing Month continues, as I offer yet another installment to the 4-part, short fantasy story about a mermaid.
This whimsical story belongs to my 2022 summer release, when I published a short story collection titled: “Tails of the Mermaids”.
😄 Please enjoy Part 2 of…
Anything But Dull: A Mermaid Sighting
The two divers wouldn’t be using Marie’s photography skills that day, but she hadn’t planned to use them much herself.
She promised herself just a few more shots. She had already spent the past two weeks taking photos from sun up to sun down.
Whenever she worked with J.P. and Justin, she came loaded down with all kinds of sophisticated devices and underwater camera equipment. She usually brought so much stuff with her that it had become a standing joke among them, including Isaac.
Isaac had fallen for Marie from the moment Justin first introduced them, but for some reason he was always too shy to act on it. Over the years, his attempts at flirting never turned out the way he wanted.
