Are You a True Student of Life?

Our education should never stop just because we’re out of school!

I heard a story today, of how Linda McMahon, the newly confirmed education chief, is about to “put herself out of a job” when plans go forward with the closing of the Education Department.

Among other things, the function of the Department of Education, is to annually distribute billions of dollars in federal funds, to colleges and schools, and is instrumental to managing the federal student loan portfolio.

There’s also a crucial role the Education Department plays, when it comes to regulating services for students with disabilities, as well low-income and even homeless kids.

Clearly, those students who are most in need of this important agency will be the most adversely affected.

The story made me want to cry, when I think about the state of affairs we’re currently in, and I consider the eventual affect it will have on our youth.

Being a student is hard enough!

As I stopped and thought about my own school days, and how I viewed the opportunity to learn new things, I came to an important realization.

Our education system is responsible for turning out thousands of new citizens into the world everyday, so…
