Boy oh boy, talk about a wake up call. I would view that as a definite sign, to lay off if I were in the same situation. I must admit, when I worked as a receptionist years ago, I'd read or do other non-work related tasks, but only when I didn't have anything else to do, including checking with other departments to see if they needed help. I didn't mind working, but I hate being bored, so if they couldn't find something for me to do, I found something for myself. But the fact still remains, they pay you for the time you're there, so I guess you have to respect that. Thanks for sharing your story Rebecca. :-)
