"Don’t be mean to yourself by breaking your own promises" - I love that, and you can apply it to anything. Great advice Lisa. It is definitely possible to get out of some of these robot-like habits we fall into. I stopped the soft drinks about 4 years ago, in place of bottled water. Then about 2 years ago, I cut out the bottled water for tap (with the Brita pitcher and filter).
