Great points. I honestly get too impatient most of the time, to wait around for a publication to publish my writing. I try to be supportive of the smaller ones, and hope they do the same for me, but sometimes, I'd just rather do it myself, even with the the more well known pubs I write for. Plus, no matter what topic I'm writing on, I don't have to worry about anybody being judgemental but me :-)
