I woke up this morning after the DNC had their final night of the convention, feeling happy, hopeful, and hyped up.

When I logged into Medium and saw the message to the community from our fearless leader, Tony Stubblebine, my feelings only intensified.

It was another provocative story about the State of Medium, and it had some interesting and uplifting things to say.

Finally, I felt myself experience a renewed nugget of hope, after wondering for several months, am I crazy for remaining on the Medium platform.

Just like I’ve shared in several stories, this entire year has been like a teeter totter on Medium. There have been lots of bumpy ups and downs, often causing me to want to simply jump off, in mid air.

But I hung in there, and I’m still here, even though my views about how exactly to proceed have continually shifted from day to day.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love the Medium website, and the sense of community that I’ve found here.
