"He’s the one who made the promises on our wedding day, and in the end he was the one who broke them." What a kind thing you did, even in spite of your own hurt and pain that the young girl was responsible for. Not only did putting your grievances aside make you human- but in the way you did and for the reason you did, it made you a damn good mother :-)
