Hey Francesca, thanks for your honesty. No, you're not a bad writer by these standards, but you're also not the best house guest either. When you invite people to come read your stories, you're in the role of hostess, and by not even bothering to speak to your guests is really kind of rude, especially those that bother to compliment you on the meal. The same is true when you go to someone else's home (story). You go, eat, and partake of what they have to offer, then leave without so much as a word. Ask yourself what brings you the most joy? Seeing a few possibly empty applauds, or a few meaningful comments? It doesn't take a lot, only a little sincerity :-)
