When your first story lands on the front page and you’re too busy writing to care!

When writers hear about newcomers getting their stories on the front page, their ears perk up (or since they’re reading, their eyeballs bulge) and they ask themselves:

How can I get my story on Medium’s front page too?

Some might even get a bit ticked off, particularly if they’ve been around for a while, and they know they write really great stories. It’s not that they’re hating on their fellow writers, or begrudging anyone else’s momentary success. But it can be frustrating to good writers when they don’t readily receive the results they expect from their stories.

If this has happened, or is happening to you, don’t worry, I can relate, and so can most of us who write online, regardless of where our stories and articles have a home.

You may have already guessed, one of my stories made it to the front page. I’m not exactly sure just how, but:

I’ll be happy to share the SEVEN BASIC tips that I think may have contributed to my story getting there.
