How to Enjoy the “Friends of Medium” Stories but Still Show Love to ALL Writers!

Are you continuing to support the members who haven’t decided to upgrade?

There are lots of different viewpoints about the “Friends of Medium” upgraded accounts.

Every writer on Medium is entitled to their opinion, and it seems like every writer is deciding to give one.

Personally, I think it’s a good thing, even when you encounter viewpoints that don’t necessarily line up with your own.

Having a healthy dialogue about both sides of an issue is the democratic way of doing things.

Well, it USED to be the democratic way, but now, we’ll just have to say that it’s the smart thing to do…

During the course of all these discussions that relate to “becoming a friend of Medium”, one specific issue seems to concern some members the most.

It goes something like this, or similar:

Writers who choose not to upgrade their accounts, will start to be neglected and their stories passed over.

That’s not my personal viewpoint, but it seems to be a prominent one among the skeptics.
