I definitely agree Em. I hate feeling like I'm at the mercy of an editor to approve me. I know it's my persoanl baggage, and I try not to let it reflect negatively on the editors, but it's just how I feel. If my story sits more than 2 days, I pull it - regardless of where I submitted it - and I self publish with the greatest of enthusiasm :-)
