i feel you on this one. Back in my early days a few months ago, the longest was probably 4 days and on more than one occassion, it was the same pub. I just accepted they had a slower response time, but kept writing and submitting to other pubs as well. Then I started trying to write themed stories that relied on one another, so I needed them to land around the same time - which became a problem. I began creating my own pubs, just as a way to organize my growing catalogue, but my primary one I use now has turned into so much more now. I still like submitting to other pubs, but if they take longer than 2 days tops, I simply take it back and publish it myself. But some pubs let you know it's going to take awhile, which is cool, because at least you know what to expect :-)
