I’m Just As Good a Writer as Anyone and Failure is Not an Option!

What does your pen name mean to you and your writing?

Here on the Medium platform I’ve adopted the pen name of Justiss Goode and I didn’t pick that name by accident.

The same thing is true about my other two author pen names: Charm Bakerand Beka R. March (Notice the wordplay with these two names).

It’s true that I’m a sucker for a play on words, but my Medium story writer pen name is much more than that.

My pen name is pronounced “justice good” and you may have assumed it means that I’m all for justice (which I am) and I think it’s a “good” thing (which I do).

But I’m here to tell you that my pen name means something more to me than simply a fun made up name with no particular meaning.

Why Writers Bother with a Pen Name?

I’ve been writing online for years (but I really got serious in 2007). During this time, I’ve written under the pen name of Charm Baker, though I honestly had no good reason for even using a pen name.
