I'm not going to like JF. I had to stop reading and switch to "skim mode" when we got to the part where she draws blood - that's where I typically draw the line, I'm so damn scary. I think if he didn't pay attention to the red flags along the way - especially that strange man in the house, then he would have definitely deserved whatever he got, but luckily for him he escaped. Now that was some weird stuff dude :-)
