Hi Carl, I only partially agree with this statement, because making it work isn't difficult either, making it pay monetarily is where the trouble usually begins, that's if getting paid for your writing is the motive, and if it is, there's nothing wrong with that, but that's when you have to be prepared to fully exert yourself. Honestly - there are too many variables to standardize the results. Every writer is different and brings something unique to the platform. Some are avid readers - I'm not - and that's the #1 way to earn, even with just a few stories published. Others are prolific writers - I am - but over 1,000 stories doesn't always equal even $100 a month (even with 4,000+ followers). This is not to discourage anyone, but rather caution and encourage each writer to stay on their own path, and map out their own journey, especially for what success really means.
