I’m just like so many other writers on Medium; I’m always looking for creative ways to get eyes on my stories.

Being the prolific writer that I am, my productivity has paid off. I’ve managed to amass more than 200 stories in less than 3 months, so needless to say, I have a lot of stories to keep organized and try and keep relevant.

That was the whole reason I created my Just Like New publication; to gain more visibility for my own stories. Later, I decided to do like the majority of publications on Medium and open my publication up for submissions.

While I was all too happy to invite other writers and give their older stories a second chance also, I had very few writers take me up on the offer.

That is why I’ve decided to go back to having the publication basically be used to house just my slightly used stories, instead of accepting others.

When I came to this conclusion, I wrote two related stories, explaining my decision. I personally think they would be very beneficial to read, for anyone who might ever think about starting their own publication, and accepting submissions from other writers.
