"My frustration with their lack of support" I know all too well how it feels to not be supported. I think it's awesome you have a huge portfolio of stories (as do I), but I'm too anal to go back and delete any. I'd worry about those people like your commenter, who would show up to a deleted story. In the past, on other sites, I sometimes posted an update or link to a different story, or simply left a note, informing the readers about what happened to the story. Kind of like the old "under construction" notices we used to see on websites that were still being worked on. Of course, each writer has to do what works for them, and as long as you're cool with it, it's the right thing to do:-)
