Okay, so this may be the coward's way out, but I give one clap, if there are already enough claps displayed, to not make the writer painfully aware of my "one" that I literally had to force myself to leave and not go full 50 (I'm one of those who used to bestow 50 claps on everyone just because I'm nice like that). But on some very special "articles" that truly resonate with me, I have no problem giving up all my claps. In case you can't tell, I just gave you 50 Jay :-)
