"People who are new to Medium should be honest with themselves and think about the long run." This is some of the best advice you can offer new members. If they don't consider what they want from Medium, and determine to be in it for the long haul, they will be sorely disappointed. In fact, they may be sorely disappointed anyway, once they make that determination. Only the diehards will manage to accomplish anything worth sticking around for. Very helpful topic Bella :-)
