Short Story Writing: I Prefer to Be Doing THAT All Day Instead

My open letter to Medium Publications, and it’s not meant to throw any shade.

Dear all you editors of the fantastic Medium publications that I’ve been reading. First of all, I’d like to commend the way most of you seem to be helping to get great stories to the loyal readers on this site.

But as much as I’d like to be a part of helping you do that, I have a dilemma that prevents me from doing so.

Whenever I start to feel overwhelmed, it can seem like I’m jumping through hoops to please other people, just like so long ago.

As one of the many loyal readers and subscribing members myself, I appreciate the valuable stories I’ve been coming across. They help me continue progressing on my writing journey, as well as the remainder of my journey through life.

The Lark — A place where I like to go and read fictional short stories and poetry.
