“telling yourself to not have certain thoughts is not the way to not have the thought. You need to replace the thought.” I can attest to that, and it's true for practically everything we do in life. I couldn't cut out caffeinated tea without replacing it with decaf tea. The same with cutting out the soft drinks for water. Even exchanging a curse word for something else less colorful - lol - it's all based on the same theory, and it works, as your writing so eloquently brought out. THANKS
