The very best advice I've ever received about writing, was given to me, roughly 30 years ago, by someone who wasn't a writer, or even an avid reader. They always used to tell me: "Just write." It was so damn irritating to hear, as if it were as simple as all that. It took years for me to discover, that yeah - it really is :-)
