"This is proof positive Amazon sees indie authors as inferior. " They view us that way for as long as it benefits them. Oddly enough, I once has the same problem, but in reverse. I discovered that someone had somehow been earning money from one of my ebooks. They did so, using all my meta data for the book (author name, title, and content), but swapping out my book cover for their own - which I have to admit was more attractive, BUT, it wasn't their book. I discovered it in the marketplace a couple of years after I unpublished it on their platform, yet, someone somewhere republished it and I assume, was getting paid. Though I was on the flip side of your coin Sahil, they treated me the same way after all my emails. They didn't bother responding :-(
