This Message is for You if You Truly Believe in God and Family

Do you choose left over right or good over evil?

I’m no longer a religious person although I certainly believe in Almighty God and I believe in the son of God, Christ Jesus.

Before I get into what I want to say, I’m not suggesting that you believe what I believe. I’m only saying, if you have any type of belief in a Divine Being, I’m speaking to you based solely on that important piece of common ground.

I’ve had a long history with organized religion, and let me say, on the matter of religion and spirituality, I ultimately wound up at age 66, on the side of spirituality.

That’s not one and the same thing as religion.

For me, that basically means being content to try and live by two of the most important Bible rules.

Loving my God with all my heart, above all else.

Attempting to love and care for all others, the same way I want to be loved and cared for myself.

That’s it.

That’s all I’m able to focus on and try to keep straight.

What can I say? I’ve always been an easy peasy kind of girl. But when you really think about it, those are the ones that encompass all the other gazillion laws on the books (which ever Holy book you believe in).

If you attempt, to honor those two, the rest should fall into place, especially if you’re truly trying to treat people the same way you want to be treated.

You may notice, I keep using the word “attempt” or “try” and believe me, I’m doing it for a reason.

We’re all only human, so no matter how badly we want to do the right thing, we’re still constant works in progress.

We make mistakes, we sin, we fall short.

For instance:

I used to have a hell of a temper, and thank goodness, I finally got that in check over the years.

But do I still get mad and have to catch myself? Yes, all the time.
