While I don't think I'm being ornery about it Roz, l do feel like airlines should not make a habit of attempting to accommodate these type of situations. If they do, that makes the airlines responsible for whatever happens. To assume that the airlines has it covered, is actually putting the person with the allergy in jeopardy, because they'll let their guard down and stop worrying about it. But in reality, the airlines can't truly be counted on to enforce and ensure that every passenger is completely nut-free, unless they plan to make do a search for nut and nut products.
