Wow. Thanks for sharing Rebecca. I've felt the exact same way in the past, even when my reception wasn't as cold as yours. The problem is, once you encounter these type of situations, it's hard to truly enjoy yourself like you're just as entitled to do as anyone else. And nowadays, it's worse, not better, thanks to the racist political environment we're in.
