Wow! Thanks for the reminder Susie. I basically don't have that problem, with my pubs that don't take submissions. The only one I have to monitor is myself. When I expect stories, I read every single one, and not just publish them. If I'm even slightly put off, that's usually a warning sign, and if necessary, I'd reach out to the writer, in a non-controversial way :-)
