"You delay starting a project because you think you need to do more research," Man, I can relate to that one. My self-published novel "Lights Out at the Moulin Rouge" was put off for years, because I needed more research, and more answers to questions that history never even answered. So instead of writing a non-fiction book from a moment in history, I eventually settled on writing historical fiction novel. Otherwise, I'd still be waiting to write that book :-)
