"You might have a wonderful and unique product to sell, but if no one knows about it, it will sit on your shelf (or in a box in your garage) for infinity (and beyond)." This is so right on point. Some people are so confident in their product, whatever it happens to be, that they take for granted that it's supposed to sell itself; and maybe it will, once people actually know what it is and where to get it. For that, you need to advertise. That's how I feel about building my catalog of stories. I spend a lot of time, energy, and even money on occasion, to make people know my stories exist, while trying to balance the desire to continue writing. It's a lot, but it'll be well worth it in the end. Thanks for your detailed and well written story Bonita :-)
